Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor is an IRS 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization incorporated in 1999 for the sole purpose of establishing an aviation museum on Ford Island, a designated National Historic site. The Navy identified three (3) structures that survived the December 7, 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor for this purpose; two hangars and the iconic Ford Island control tower. Authorization to incorporate a fourth hangar is pending. Opened in 2006, Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor stands as a reminder of the “date which will live in infamy.”
The attack on Pearl Harbor was a pivotal moment in our history, and in the history of the world. America “awoke” on that day, unleashing a powerful response that enveloped individuals and corporations alike. The heart of America was defined in the aftermath of the devastating blow: ingenuity, perseverance, valor, and resilience, determination and unparalleled patriotism united America. These defining character values united Americans and shaped an “attitude” that powered our “Greatest Generation.”
Take stock in America! Help us invest in restoring these historic structures, building exhibits that promote understanding and respect, education programs that engage and challenge all who visit to consider how they, too, might help our world find peaceful solutions to conflict.
Your support will help us restore and preserve the hallowed grounds of America’s aviation battlefield.
