Aviator's Tour: Guided Visit, Hangar 37 & Hangar 79

Go behind the scenes to the heart of the hangars that housed the aircraft and heroes of the War in the Pacific. Docents escort you on a journey through Hangar 37 and our newest attraction, Hangar 79, a battlefield survivor that still bears the scars of the December 7, 1941 attack. Visit the Lt. Ted Shealy Restoration Shop, a 1940s Carrier Aircraft Service Unit rebuilt to wartime authenticity. See the restoration of aircraft using WWII tools. View aircraft awaiting restoration to join the Museum's exciting collection.

Visiting Ford Island

Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor is located on historic Ford Island, an active military base that is accessed by shuttle bus from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Shuttles depart every 15 minutes from the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. For security reasons, no bags are allowed on the shuttle bus to Ford Island. A bag storage facility, located at the Bowfin Submarine Park shuttle bus stop, can store your belongings for a fee of $3 per bag.
