What does the passport include?
The Passport to Pearl Harbor consists of a set of tickets for each of the attractions. You will have access to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center narrated multimedia tour, Battleship Missouri Memorial, Pacific Fleet Submarine Museum, Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum and the Pearl Harbor Virtual Reality Center. Add-ons such as Flight Simulators, Guided Hangar Tour, and Top of the Tower Tour are a separate cost and may be purchased online or onsite.

Can I drive onto Ford Island to visit the museum?
The general public is advised to use “Pearl Harbor Visitor Center” as the GPS destination when visiting Pearl Harbor. Our Museum is located on a military base; non-military visitors will not be able to drive on and must take the shuttle bus from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center.

The only guests allowed to drive onto Ford Island are those with military base access. If you do not have military base access, please take the free shuttle bus located at the Pearl Harbor Visitor’s Center.

Where is the shuttle stop?
The shuttle bus stop is conveniently located directly behind the USS Bowfin Submarine Museum & Park. Visitors enter the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center and head toward your immediate right to find the shuttle stop. This shuttle will take you onto Ford Island and make two stops - one at the USS Missouri and the other at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum.

How often to do shuttles run?
Free shuttles depart approximately every 15 minutes from the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The last shuttle returning visitors to the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center leaves the museum at 5:00 p.m.

Can I walk back from Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum back to the USS Missouri?
Guests without valid military ID are not allowed to walk around Ford Island as it is still an active military base.

Can I take bags on the shuttle?
For security reasons, no bags are allowed on the shuttle bus to Ford Island. A bag storage facility, located at the Bowfin Submarine Park shuttle bus stop, can store your belongings for a fee of $6.00 per bag or $7.50 per bag for large and/or luggage.

What is the suggested attire?
While there is no official dress code to visit the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites, we do ask visitors to dress appropriately and respectfully. Swimsuits are not acceptable. Flip flops and sandals are permitted; however, we do encourage visitors to wear close toed shoes, as there is a lot of walking when visiting the Museum and the other Pearl Harbor sites.

Can I take pictures throughout my tour?
Picture taking is allowed at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. Cameras are allowed in Pearl Harbor and you can take photos everywhere, with the exception of the Admiral Clarey Bridge to Ford Island. Your shuttle driver will make mention of when you aren’t allowed to take photos during your drive onto Ford Island. The other area in which photos aren’t allowed are certain scenic points up in the observation deck of the tower. A docent will point out the restricted photo areas.

How long does it take to tour Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum?
